Knights: a very fast customization
« on: December 04, 2015, 16:03:19 »
Finally I won my fear of breaking my klickies by taking them apart...I admit that looking around here I took some inspirations from the work of others, I mean that looking at what others can do and I wanted to do the same  :)
Here take a look:

They are wonderful knights.  I really like them.

Nice colours and composition.

Welcome to the world of customising. :)

Those arm and leg armour pieces are some of the nicest medieval parts playmobil have produced.

Nice great idea to update the purple dragon knight that way and the other two look great with the legs and particularly the chest pieces makes me think sort of padded armour or leather jerkins?  :eh?: I guess, as sort of simple knight/foot soldier look it really works.

They're more like coat-of-plates. Metal plates stitched or riveted to a leather backing. One has the plates attached to a leather backing and the other has another layer of leather over the front of the plates. Knights were wearing this type of armour over their mail until such armour was replaced by the solid breastplate.

The torsos with dots are similar and represent cloth over metal plates with decorative rivets.

They look very nice, I am only not quite sure about the chainmail covering a bit of that yellow dragon.

They look really good. I couldnt do this, mostly because my kilcky heads never - I mean NEVER - come off.

I really like the look of the dark brown with the coat of armour. Excellent customizing  8-)

Have you tried Tahra's popping-method (with a noose made from fishing wire)? It's quite safe.
