So first Tahra had rainbow klickies, and now you do! At first I thought Tahra's were some misprint (like the purple cows? green horses? Can't remember the specifics!), but now I'm wondering if it's a PCC thing?

These 'rainbow' klickies are the PCC special gift for members at the end of the second year it has been in existence.
Now I have stated that, I will probably have to resign from the secret club. :(
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

I saw the Rainbow Klickies on Facebook they're pretty cool as it that car I'm not surprised he's surrounded by girls with that ride lucky guy  poor twins though. I'd like to see the follow up photo with some ladies in the car and a group of jealous looking male klickies staring in his direction in the background though  ;)

Great pictures!

And I feel awful that my first reaction was those two dresses should be metallic!  :D

Mmmmh... I don't think it's a confidential issue.  :-[ (or is it? I have to check)
In fact the same pics were featured at the PCC and everyone can see them.

YES.

Personally, I don't understand how anyone would not be a pcc member.. but hey, that's just me  :-[

I was just being ironic/ sarcastic Tonguello! The fact that Salamander didn't know about the 'rainbow' klickies might be because everyone has been careful not to talk about them to non-PCC members  8} 8} 8}

Good idea, Salamander! Despite a few aspects of the PCC which could be better, I agree with Tahra, its well worth being a member, especially for the exclusive sets and klickies!

There are a LOT of things that could be better, yes... But it is also a HUGE step in the right direction, and I believe that alone is worthy of support.

In a more... "objective" way, I believe it is worth a LOT more than the measly 10 eur we pay.

I went and looked at the list of benefits (which hilariously, within the list has links, that one clicks on only to be told one can't see anything because you're not a member! So they're trying to entice you to join, while putting up roadblocks.)

Looking at the list, I see a bunch of things I'm not interested in - downloads (of what? I can't tell, the link reminds me I'm not a member!),  the opportunity to buy mugs and t-shirts, event planning, free entry at places I won't be, discounts I can't use as I'm not near a park, and a hat and membership card.  Keep in mind I'm saying these things don't interest *me*, and for the right person in the right place, I'm sure they're well worth it!

So the things I do want - welcome gift klickie. Sure, why not. Ditto exclusive figure. The Special Sale.  This is where they fall down on their enticing.  I only hear about what's available on the special sale when someone here accidently posts in the wrong place.  I have no idea the amount of stuff available (is it ten items or 100? Are there limits?) None of this is mentioned before you buy your membership, and if I've gleaned info correctly from posts here, as a Canadian, I'm not actually able to get Special Sale items without paying a second  postage cost and relying on the kindness of other members to forward them on.  Which may not rule out that I could be very happy getting something from the sale, but I feel Playmobil are not above board with the realities of it before your join.

News and product previews. I've seen many complaints here about PCC not releasing news in a timely fashion.  It's then hard to know if there is tons of news that PCC members *are* getting early, so that one remains a mystery to me for now. Product previews are cool, but as I live in a place where we are already a year behind, it's less exciting (for me!) to find out about something that I might not see for 18 months or so. I already feel I'm getting a "preview" when something new goes up on the German site to buy, as I'll get it here in about a year.

So those are all the reasons I haven't joined up til now (and sorry for hijacking your thread tonguello!)  Which is not to say I wouldn't, just that I haven't been compelled to yet. And I do get that a reason to join is to show support for what the PCC may become, and the fact that are finally recognizing adult collectors, which is why I do consider asking for it as a gift.

Now please don't send the green troll after me!

As the PCC admin for English / the US and Canada I am going to respond to some things in her comment privately with Salamander. So you all don't have to be tempted about what to say or not say publicly :P
