6694- Super4 Dark Colossus REVIEW
« on: October 14, 2015, 07:46:14 »
Hello everyone! Although I'm not a big fan of the Super 4 theme, I could not resist the Dark Colossus because of his badass appearance. It costs 11,99 Euro in Holland, a bit overpriced in my opinion but so are all the Super 4 figures (4,99 for the smallest box!)

A short review for everyone who considers purchasing or for the just curious ones... ;)

Pic C01: the box...  small!
Pic C02: the contents, including stickers (for the shield and the sword holder) and a gem we know from the fi?ures
Pic C03: there are pegs in the boots, they may be removable but I haven't tried yet
Pic C04: the belt is a loose part and can be removed (didn't try that either)

Pic 05: this is how the sword is attached on the back (you can see the peg in pic C04
Pic 06: with the A from Awesome! Note: due to the shape of the shield, the higher end on the right, the Colossus is
            supposed to be left handed!
Pic 07: in comparison with a klicky. I thought he would be bigger, he's 9 cm tall

Pic C08: "Hey, Can-Head, take someone of your own size"
Pic C09: "Are you trolling me?"
Pic C10: the weapons are interchangeable with the troll... also capable of holding regular weapons
Pic C11: "I feel a terrible headache coming up"

additional information: the wrists and the arms are the only moveable parts and he can't spread (how do you say that, lift aside or bring in abduction) his arms like the troll.

Smaller than I expected, a little too expensive but I like him! He is just mean, looks awesome and a worthy opponent for everyone who wants a glorious fight!

That's it, hope you like this review.

Regards, Lynx

No problems with the review, but where are Playmobil going?

Can a klicky hold the big sword?
I see the handle comes off exposing a peg at the base of the blade. Can the peg be held?

I loved the review!  Thanks for making me smile!

additional information: the wrists and the arms are the only moveable parts and he can't spread (how do you say that, lift aside or bring in abduction) his arms like the troll.

Are his arm movements the same as a normal klicky? Forwards and back, rotation of the wrist, nothing else?
'Spreading the arms' would be correct in English. Can the troll do that? (We are saving our Troll for Christmas and I haven't read a review of him yet :-[)
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

Sadly I agree  :( Although, if they are really aiming towards 4 to 6 year-olds, then I guess this makes sense.
