Coach boogies
« on: October 08, 2015, 19:58:05 »
Hello everyone!

Does anybody know if the boogies from the Panorama Express fit the "short" underframe of the other waggons? There´s a little experiment I might like to try...

Thanks!

Guido.

The hole in the bogie is the same, but the 2-axle bogie is wider. The certainly hit the steps at the end of the 2-axle cars.

Are you thinking of joining two coaches by them sharing a common bogie unit?

You can swap single and double axis' bogies. As confirmed, the wholes diameters match each other. But you've to place some cuts at the bogie as otherwise the step (on the left hand side right next to the axis) would block the bogie. Unfortunately I forgot to take pics of the prepared bogie...  :-[, but just try. It works.

I used to but since we had to move three years ago I haven't yet found the time to resume building  :'(.

Hey everybody!
Thanks forbthe pics, jj! I has almost reached the same conclusión, now you've showed me it' right! By the way, what did you use to detach the original boogies? I'm looking fo a tuve of right diameter to push all four tabs at the same time, but maybe there's something less primitive around...

What I would like t do is to lengthen the standard underframe and scratchbuild a luxury coach ir two. But it wouldn't look right with single axles.

Anyway it's a long term project ::)
