Be careful when cleaning chromed parts.
« on: September 22, 2015, 02:43:47 »
I use Simple Green to remove paint off old playmobil, it's easy to use, relatively non-toxic and doesn't harm the plastic.

Soaked two chromed bodies recently and they came up quite well. They had a lot of marker pen or similar so I let them soak longer and then forgot about them. Chrome surface lifted like paint. On the plus side I have some badly worn chrome parts that I know I can now strip completely.

It doesn't say, it's from Huntington Beach, California.

Found this online: http://simplegreen.com/pdfs/MSDS_EN-US_AllPurposeCleaner.pdf

So the odour is sassafras.
