Monorail
« on: July 31, 2015, 16:50:15 »
I want a monorail. It could be biggish like the trains, or a bit smaller. It could work nicely with the Super4 future theme, with space or future themes in general, could be useful for the Zoo theme, or even City as a transporter related to airport.
Probably totally impractical, but still I want one please.

An interesting idea - are you imagining one that has a motor on it or that can just be pushed around on the track?

Motorized, though it can be smaller like the 123 train was rather than the big RC like the regular trains. They've done enough motorized things now I am sure they could come up with one that would work on a single rail. If you read up about monorails in general, they usually use rubber tires to hold and move on the rail.

you could ask for a magnetic levitation one, tiermann.

this is the trick - asking for something much more difficult to be obtained.

2nd step, crying half-silently when the news that it will be difficult arrive.
3rd step, say also half-silently, with 1 or 2 tears still attached to your chin that maybe something simpler then, so that your enormous unhapiness could be calmed down.
4th step, be sure to always look at thye ground.
it's called a bluff.
5th step, deliver the solution, actually the thing you wanted in the 1st place, still half-silentrly, still looking to the ground, still holding that tear.
6th step, rejoice after you hear the o.k.-let's-see-what-can-be-done sentence.
7th step, say thank you a lot of times (12 at least, so that there will be no courage to abandon the decision.

if yoiu talk to geobra people tell them that you have a friend who cries everyday because ther's not a 3 mast imperial ship with 16 guns, a crew of 20, no redcoats, filled with extra animals and stuff.
o.k., i guess i can accept a 3940 size with a crew of 7 and 8 guns.
we can talk about the fortress-island later...

The system at Wuppertal came to my mind, too, cachalote.

A Wuppertal type system would be fine with me too. I think it would take more pieces for the supports though, but would probably be more sturdy for kids play.

This just reminds me of this.

Maybe someone needs to do this in stop motion with playmobil while playing the song to get them to make a monorail.  ;)
