New style battlement connectors

Does any one know, please, if the battlement connectors used in sets 4007:

will fit with the original Steck battlements?

Yes I'm pretty sure they're exactly the same as the battlement connectors for the 3666 castle.

They're not the same as the battlement connectors of the oldest type of steck castles (3450 etc.) though. If I remember it correctly, the connectors of the 3666 and the 3450 are not interchangeable.

i think i can't totally understand the question.
the floor in the pirates's set has a few convex rectangles where regular steck pieces fit.
you can even fit a "normal" steck piece with 3 holes on its base (long rectangle/short square/long rectangle) a corner connector (solid base) and another  "normal" one.
everything fits.
but when you try a bigger piece (a wider battlement) it is too long to fit the floor.
when you join a "normal" piece with a corner connector on one side and on the other one a 180º connector and a corner one - you'll have the right dimension but the 180º connector doesn't have a hollow base and is unable to fit in the convex rectangle.
system-x is so much better.
if you want to know if the corner pieces in the pirates set are the same as in the 3666 - they sure look like it.

The question is - will the battlement connectors in sets 4007 and 5949 fit with the original Steck battlements?  Although, in the light of Birdie's comment, I would refine it to read:

Will the battlement connectors in sets 4007 and 5949 fit with the 3666 Steck battlements?

I've mixed the battlements/connectors. They are snug, but they work. If memory serves, the connectors from 3666 don't fit as nicely on the newer battlements, but the newer connectors fit the 3666 battlements without any problem.

Correction: I said 3666, but I meant 3450; new connectors work on old battlements better than old connectors on new battlements, but they do work together.
