The Fusiliers Officers considered asking for reinforcements.



The Eastern Division welcomed it 'the more the merrier' was their usual answer to more troops.



Meanwhile, the centre of the battlefield had erupted.  The Greys had advanced on the Rumbleoirs at long last!!  Their infamous Sergeant at Arms, Deaken, led the advance with his blunderbuster.



Things were going badly for the Second Unit.

Their officers tried to maintain calm and lead with courage.



But to small avail - men were retreating...without their weapons!



A troop of Belchers guard was thrown in to stiffen the ranks.

Officers on both sides clashed.



The Indestructibles were stopped in their tracks - for now.





While the deserters were rounded up.

The left and centre was stabilising



But the anticipated clash of the Borderers and the 10th Legion of Guards was underway.





The superior weaponry of the Borderers may make a difference

The Legion was suffering heavily from the accurate and rapid fire of the Borderers.



But still they came



On every bit of field, there were mini tragedies playing out.



But still the armies marched

Deaken met an attacking Captain head on



Captain Mott encouraged the Borderers on



At the back of the action, the High Luminary of Tongueston, Hasten Crock, watched the battle.  He was surrounded by his cronies. 



'The right wing is falling to the Eastern Division' he was informed.  'Time to send in the Dragoons' Hasten replied.

The Eastern Division were as handy with their swords as they were with their rifles



A commander does battle with a Fusilier Major.



'Cavalry, cavalry!!!' came the cry as Egginton's Grenadiers desperately formed a square.

Bentenbean still had one trick up its sleeve - The Gun!







With this little beauty, they might be able to force a gap through the centre right of the Toungestone forces, specifically, the Rumbleoirs!
