Construction spot
« on: May 13, 2007, 16:22:56 »
Not a difficult customization but anyway I want to share it.

Source/inspiration for the custom are my real-live construction spots; there also exist a two-headed variant but I do not own one by myself. The large one depcited could be realized by clicking the spot to the center top of the pole.

Nice one, Jochen, and neatly done. :)  I like the extra painting on the tripod to bring out the detail.

Hi,

another great work Jochen !
But can you switch on ?

LETS MAKE IT DIFFICULT !!

Can you change the light with the real one from the 3178 Rescue Equipment Unit

and push it into the electrical outlet ?

or change the LED from the Lamps into the Spot ?

What do you think about this idea ?  hmmm

But only if you want and find the time to make it !

many thx for sharing !

gentle greets

Andi

:)  Yes, you're right. maybe I actually should include some real electricity ...

Does anybody have the lighting base and extension set? Any plans? Can somebody provide some details on how the parts are used? (I'm wondering what all these strange parts depicted are for.)
Somebody so kind to provide a review on these?

Some of that set is also used in 4062. One of the main differences seems to be the grey battery section is not shown in that lighting extension set. There is a larger add-on set with more pieces, so perhaps it's included in that one. :-\

The white column on the left plugs into the battery piece and this holds some of the wiring for the individual lights. The grey part is the on/off switch and it also has a light bulb under the yellow piece. It was used in the bathroom of the apartment house. You can just see it in the set pic behind the folding door. (More pics from other angles here in a review I wrote several years ago.)

Those parts in the centre with white wires have tiny light bulbs on the ends. The coloured outer sections are removable. They just clip on and off. You can order the lighting sections separately from the DS - I have done this when one of the kids broke a wire. ;)

The small grey clips are used to hold the long white wires out of the way. They attach along the roof line of the building.

The long black part on the right appears to be an upright lamp holder for one of the light bulbs (this isn't included in 4062). The shorter black piece is an extension arm which allows one of the lights to hang over a room, a little further out from the wall.

If you need individual part numbers, I can send you scans of set 4062. This might also be easier to understand than my explanation of how everything fits together. ;D

Thanks Sylvia for the hint to your review. Didn't know that the lighting was included in a regular set.
