Macruran's Li'l Imperialists - #1 - Christendom

So I mainly like historically accurate military or cultural/ethnic figures. After getting a few of them I noticed they are mostly from past empires (in the broad sense of that term). Something about a bloodthirsty warrior in cute toy form makes me smile. I started calling this portion of my collection the

Li'l Imperialists

The Romans are of course the supreme example of this predilection, which is why I collected that whole theme. But I have a few other smaller groupings. First up: Christendom. Regardez!

As you can see these are figures from European history. We see a medieval monk (his sandals are on Jesus at the moment and I can't be bothered to dig them up) and two nuns, the Pontiff himself in the center, and three Crusaders. Basically we're looking at the Church Militant, literally.

In the back you can make out Aguirre and just behind him a Mesoamerican "friend" of his. Also in the back are two kings that I couldn't resist. They both have crosses on their sceptres so I think they fit with the others.

They look great, the original goal of the knights templar was to protect pilgrims during their journey to the holy land which in itself is a noble goal.
