New project!
I wanted to do a BIG Victorian house with the pieces of all the houses I have, and put up different wallpaper patterns and curtains for a different look.
A big thank you to Skypurr for the link to free wallpaper patterns (
http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=14130.0).
I used pieces from two 5300's (= the traditional one), two 5305's (= the small version), two 7411 (= extra floors), one yellow mansion and two pink gazebos.
I had enough spare pieces to make an extra house for the servants.
Turns out it is extremely difficult to change anything in the lay-out, because then pieces don't fit and there are no alternative pieces in existence.
I made some custom floor pieces out of cardboard, because there is no other way to fit the staircases in. Not very sophisticated, but it works
I intend to cover it with some kind of flooring.
As you'll see, the wallpaper is still loose (not glued on). I still need a non-permanent solution for that. If I glue it on, I might not get it off the original paper... And I also still need to wallpaper the side roof. It takes forever to get it right.
This is what I came up with, for now:
TThe ground floor with the kitchen on the far left:
The dining room off the kitchen and then the entrance hall:
The salon on the right hand side:
The first floor (bedroom and bathroom on the left, library, another bedroom on the right, with the original wallpapers):
The second floor (bedroom under side roof, bathroom, sun room):
Attick room for the children:
More pictures will follow when I have managed to do proper flooring and when the furniture can go in - the fun part!
