Nothing on "ours" yet... We'll see.

I hope it is possible to get the main characters as parts... I want the vehicle (I think, Gods know why!), and Alex's set is a maybe.. The others though... meh.

Good morning dear Friends

I am curious to see how successful the Super Four sets will be since the TV Series were a hit and miss as far as the Playmo Forums were concerned worldwide. I wonder if the show is a sucess with kids as it is still being broadcasted as I have not read about exceptional TV ratings either  ???

I can only speak for a sampling of kids under 10... but they LOVE it and want (and will get) the whole line.
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

Super 4 the has now shown up on the US website, not yet available for order but we do have the prices. Surprisingly reasonable prices for them. At those prices I will end up getting most of the theme for the parts if nothing else.

There are several announced sets not there yet ...

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!

I was looking at these sets on the German site and was about to beg for help getting a single klicky from DS when I saw in this thread that they were listed on the US site (whoops, hadn't realised that!). Says they're available in October, which isn't that far away, so I can wait!   Hopefully they'll have DS parts, as the single klicky I want is from a $49 set.

Which leads to a question for those who have these already - is the hair one piece with the head (ie, not removable?  And any chance they also have a 'regular' klicky face on the back of the head? (I'm guessing not...)

One thing DS seem reluctant to sell is klickies! Very few get included in the parts available (even in the German DS). I don't really know why this is, unless it is a cunning plan by Geobra to avoid making money. Hope I am wrong though for the one you want, Salamander.

It might be worth having a look at Maltese ebay sellers, they do sometimes offer desirable klickies at reasonable prices, sometimes even before they are available in official sets (maybe not)! I don't know if there is any special way of finding Maltese sellers, but a worldwide ebay search for Playmobil arms (or legs, or heads) usually turns some up.

I don't really know why this is, unless it is a cunning plan by Geobra to avoid making money.

Actually for once I think it's the opposite. I know they have a policy of not including the most key items for a particular set in the easily available parts list. They also tend to make some parts like electronics (light up Christmas tree for instance) really expensive for the same reason. They want you to buy the whole set, not buy all the parts for less or equal to the cost of the set. It's way less labor for them to sell you a full set than to pick all the individual parts, so less expensive on their end. So they want you to just buy multiples of the full set to get what you want.

The new Robbers Feast add on for instance - lots of people will want it for the tree. At Klickywelt Playmo-Family added up the individual parts cost as 17,94 Euros for just the tree compared to 39,99 Euros for the set as a whole. For me it would make sense to get a couple of the sets since I also want many of the other parts, but after that I will be ordering a few more of the hats since that is one of the key pieces I want. I may pick up a few extra tree branches as well to replace curling ones on my old tree.

A little poking around on ebay showed that I could limit my search to Maltese sellers. And while I didn't find the particular one I was after, it was time well spent!  :)

There was a new black wig that I hadn't seen before that had a kind of  curl of some sort on the side. I wish it had been plain. And in brown.  I'm so demanding.

...I  could limit my search to Maltese sellers.

I would be interested to know how you did that!

The new Robbers Feast add on for instance - lots of people will want it for the tree. At Klickywelt Playmo-Family added up the individual parts cost as 17,94 Euros for just the tree compared to 39,99 Euros for the set as a whole.

I worked it out as 18,45 Euro recently, but I did it in £ on Playmobil.co.uk, then converted the total into Euro. The Playmobil.de prices may be slightly different.

On a couple of occasions when I have worked out the cost of buying all the parts to make up a set, the total has been quite eye-watering. For example, to get all the parts new from DS to make a 7337 to extend the 3965 Modern House came to over £80.00! And some of the wall parts were not available, so that would have pushed the price even higher. A 3965 plus 7337 can be got on eBay for around £80, admittedly not brand new.

I have ranted before about the cost of some DS parts and I think Geobra more than cover their costs in running the parts department of DS. At a guess, I would say that DS parts probably cost on average three times their equivalent when bought in sets, though this varies depending on the part in question. That puts eBay prices into context!
