Howdy from Oregon, USA!
« on: January 01, 2015, 03:25:17 »
Finally!!  A place I don't have to be embarrassed about being a grown up that loves playmobil way more than my children!  I thought to pop in and say hi to everyone.  I just joined the forum officially and have enjoyed browsing all the posts..new and old.  So much to look at.  I appreciate all those that have posted over the years so newbies like me can still enjoy them.

I hope to add to the wonderful posts here.  I was born the same year as playmobil..yet didn't know they existed until I had my own kids in mid 2000s.  I have no idea how that happened but I am thrilled to have finally found them!  I enjoy the victorian and the older medieval themes the most. I tend to pick and choose my favorites among the figures and add ons.  My sons won't admit it but they enjoy playing with playmobil too...but never quite got into like me and they think I am a little weird for still liking it at my age...oh well..more fun for me!

Welcome from San Francisco, and another mom who has Playmobil stuffed everywhere in the house.  This is a wonderful forum supported by passionate and creative collectors.  It is also a friendly forum, and many of the active members (versus folks that mostly read, like me) offer all sorts of help to solve your collecting and display problems.

Love your avatar.

Hulloooo  :)

Welcome to the forum! I'm from Antwerp, Belgium, and I don't even have kids yet, so I can only admit it's all mine  ;D
The Victorian and old medieval sets are absolutely wonderful. Add the western ones to the list, and you've got my alltime favourites.

I hope you have a great time browsing around here, and if you ever feel like sharing your Playmoprojects and purchases here, please do  8-)

Edit: Love your avatar picture

A third Oregonian here. Just this evening I was going to my sister's place in nw Porters when I passed an apartment window with an elaborate Christmas Playmo dio in the window. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera with me but I'll try to get pics soon. It was at 23rd and Glisan.
