Tip for scanning plans
« on: April 06, 2007, 08:20:16 »
When scanning plans, especially where they are a single sheet, the reverse side of the plan often shows through.  To prevent this, put a piece of grey card behind the sheet being scanned. I use a Kodak photographic grey card.  In the examples below, the scan with the grey card has come out a lighter but I find this sometimes happens whether a card is used or not.  The important point is it is clearer.

I often have this "show-through" problem when scanning parts sheets, so thanks for the tip! :)9
