you will post.

Thank you for your encouraging comments, Jimbo and Tim!

However, there won't be any more photos for a few weeks, because my computer just went in for maintenance Today ... :(

Thanks again and all the best,

That is dirty pool man! Get us all worked up and addicted and then cut us off cold turkey like that. Shame on you.  ;D

Hello Richard, I am so glad there is another '2 of everything' out there. Once I fall in love with a set I simply must have a spare!  Also means when buying used sets I can generally get one completed and the other for the Grandchild!  Love all the LGB and Playmo trains. Our first large set was the western trainset, new in the box for $20.00 AUD, true (a long and very happy story!!!!!)  It was $699.00 in the stores here, back in the day as my daughter would say!  SQ.

Great price!

Hello, Suzi ...

It appears that you're having a lot of fun exploring the Playmofriends forum. As you've probably already seen, there are some very interesting things "buried" here and there.

BTW ... Thanks for resurrecting this old topic of mine. My computer has been back in service for months. I just simply forgot about all the old photos that I was going to post. Maybe I should see if I can find where I put them and post a few more. I wonder if anyone's stlll interested in seeing them?

All the best,
Richard

Richard I am sure everyone wants to see them, your themes are 'so pretty' and realistic!  Makes me want to move towns!  Please post some when you have time.  I also had a 'quick take', thought it was 'the bee's knees'  paid a fortune for it, next minute it was sooooo 'old hat'.  Cheers SQ

Hello, Suzi ...

Thank you very much for your very generous compliments ...  :-[

I will look for the "old Photo" folder this weekend.

Suzi, you said that you had a QuickTake. Are you a Mac user?

All the best,
Richard

Back in the old days, when digital cameras were in their infancy (my very first one was from Apple and it was called a "QuickTake")

Brings back memories! ... started my digital foray with a QuickTake 150 back in 96/97 iirc ... and I'm NOT a Mac user  ;D (okay, used/using a Mac off and on, but I'm comfortable with PC and it helps pay the bills to boot).

On a side note, have you found a way to batch convert *.qtk files to jpg or any other current formats?  I have a couple 1000's of shots which is a pain to convert to jpg/tiff a small batch at a time using the QTK program.

Hello, Peter ...

Fortunately, I still have a few old Macs that will run QuickTake software.

Click HERE for a pretty good article about some things to try.

All the best,
Richard

Thanks again to Suzi, for the "reminder" to continue to share the old photos ...  8}

From time to time, when things are a bit quiet (like now), I'll pull out some of the photos of yesteryear and post them here.

(If I forget ... please remind me again.) ...

All the best,
Richard
