actually I used 2 bodies to compensate for material loss during cutting with a metal saw

I was wondering how much was lost.  What kind of saw do you use?

When sawing, there is a 1 millimeter wide groove; without compensation it just wouldn't look right. I'm using a small metal saw.

I have no dremel, only an old electric modelling fraise that I use only occasionally. Most of the custom work is done with a knife, files and sandpaper (and sometimes a metal saw) and not to forget the epoxy mass.

Ok, I'm a beginner so this is probably beyond me but what is a dremel and, where does one get that small of a metal saw? A hobby shop? This is stunning work MBL!

In the Netherlands those saws are generally available at a do it yourself-market; they are just plain small hand saws with a 15 cm blade.

Fascinating custom Jean-Luc! A great idea.    The result is marvellous

 I have a Dremel. It is powerful, you could easily lose a finger.  8}

 i seem to use the same tools as you for customising.. and cocktail sticks for the Milliput.

I use bamboo skewers  ;D  ... but I haven't tried using milliput yet (although I have some), you may be getting an email about that soon ;)
