The Soap Box Derby
« on: August 28, 2014, 13:39:00 »
Inspired by all of the great stories over here, I also made my first photo story - comic strip thing  :)
I used my modern street diorama that's still up in the living room.

Mitri helped with the storyline and he showed me how to work with Pixlr, for the speech balloons and such. Thank yoouuu

The story features a little girl named Meg, and it is called:

                                               The Soap Box Derby

Great story, I'd never imagine its your first one since you really did a great job with it!
Great positioning and effects, it really gives a lot of character to the clickies.

Also many nice little details, I like how you imply at Meg's family being native american with the doll and the wall decoration at the dinner table. It's a nice subtle touch.  :)
Did she play poker with her sister the evening before? And her baby sister is adorable.

It's obvious Nathan is popular, half the kids in class wear the same hat. I bet they want to be just as cool as Nathan.  ;)

Also love the kid walking back up the slide, the entire playground really captures what kids do on playgrounds during recess.

A shame Meg did not get to finish the race, the other kid seemed unharmed though, and Meg seems to have good company as well! Good thing she was wearing a helmet!

Thank you so much Rhalius, you've been saying I should do something like this for a while, so I hold you partially responsible  ;D

It's obvious Nathan is popular, half the kids in class wear the same hat.

   Yes that might have something to do with the fact that some of those clickies (including Meg and Nathan) have been around since the nineties, when cap or bonnet were the only options. I've become used to it. It's also weird for them to wear bonnets in summer - I tend to ignore that  :)

Meg's father was a clicky Mitri made for the first western Playmotown we built. I guess he moved and started a family  ;)
