Ideas for a Dorothy??
« on: August 04, 2014, 12:50:03 »
Hi! Does anyone have ideas/suggestions for a 100% Playmobil Dorothy (from the Wizard of Oz) custom?

I could only paint some parts if necessary but not other alterations. The dress is the main problem. Im lost.
Ideas please!!!

Thanks!!

I wonder if a dress from the new mall series might be the answer... though I know you would probably hate to paint them. They are the most appropriate length, probably.

It's a tricky one  :eh?:

How about this woman's torso from the 3825 set?

With those wide, white half sleeve arms and a blue skirt + red shoes combo, that might look alright.

Have you considered using a little girl clicky? The girl from the Hansel and Gretel set (the fairy tale set) has a white & blue checkered dress and her shoes look reddish.
With white short sleeves and red hair, I think she'd look pretty accurate.

Good luck on your quest  :)

Thank you both for the ideas!

@bb; yeah I was thought about those but the shapes are not right.
BTW I'll paint with photoshop  ;) ;) ;) ;) don't worry  ;D

@birdie:  I do want an adult clicky, otherwise the other characters would be a lot bigger than Dorothy.  that woman's torso would work but I don't have that clicky unfortunately. I don't have Gretel either.  :P

I was thinking of using a man's overall (the 3D one not the printed one) with a proper skirt, but I don't know if it is possible or if she would look too manly in it.  ???

Still lost ...  have someone ever saw a Dorothy custom? ???

This one is great and it's the ONLY one Google could find .
I might have to photoshop more than I wanted, so that's a last resource.

this one is a great start point to actually build the custom. we'll see ...
