Mini Flood
« on: February 12, 2014, 21:13:35 »
Hey guys as some fo you might know parts of the Uk have been flooded certainly for the past couple of months, fortunately here in Sheffield we're not suffering to much certainly nowhere near as bad as some one of the advantages of having loads of hills I guess but, we have been getting loads and loads of consistently heavy rain recently and it's taking its toll the ground's absolutely saturated for a start. This is about the worst area for flooding whenever it rains the path becomes a great big puddle

As soon as I saw it I knew what I had to do get the boat out, in fact if I remember and it's still deep on Friday I might have to try some shots with my recently acquired partially complete Fireboat thinking about it

Whenever I look at these next shots it makes me think of all the people who are flooded in the South and the resuce workers makes you feel thankful not to be worse affected.

I've got to say even though it can be miserable being a gardener/conservationist and a volunteer at that there's something about playing around in puddles and splashing torugh puddles that size and depth which is very satisfying and amkes you forget for a little while that you're soaked  ;D ;)

Excellent pictures, Scott, and the scarves on the figures are a great piece of detail.  Look forward to seeing the fire boat.

I adore your outdoor PM pictures, DrDalek!

That clicky sure seems to be enjoying the boat ride. It looks as though he's really taking in the scenery.

Thanks glad you like them  :) I also posted one of the first photos on the Action Man forum I use along with my AM photos and they went down very well made everyone smile  :)

Excellent pictures, Scott, and the scarves on the figures are a great piece of detail.  Look forward to seeing the fire boat.

Thanks gotta keep the men warm during the winter  ;) don't know whether I'll find time to take photos of my Firemen before the puddle goes down but, they're standing by in my recently acuqired boats unfortunately the boats probably need some work and for me to look up what parts they need plus the men themselves need more equipment helmets and such but, what with working on the BTCV Mini Carbon Army and buying other stuff they've been a bit neglected at the minute  :( still we'll see what we can do, can still take some photos on the pond when the weather warms up  ;).

Great pictures! What a brave little fellow.

Thanks I think he likes a good adventure, don't worry all Klickies were given a good bath and dried out after their adventure with no casualties  ;)

Great photos, thanks for posting them.

Thanks  :)

Thanks I'm sure they probably are enjoying the big puddle I think Mini Scott must take after his Dad (me!  ;D) as we both enjoy a good paddle in the pond all be it in his case in his boat for his own safety

Thanks very much they certainly got to see plenty of scenery I was trying to take photos and the boat kept spinning around  8} so he must have been very disorientated still he doesn't often explore that part of the gardens certainly not when it's full of water so he probably was quite keen to have a good look around  ;)

Very nice pictures!!! Many thanks for the sharing!!

Thanks very much  :)
