The giant baby is too big. If I used that one I'd have to have Mary passed out on the floor.

   That cracked me up!

I wonder what a chuck piston is?

Who knows!? Could it be the corn cobs, maybe?

I have to disagree. Examine the picture closely: http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=5588&showSpareParts=false&cgid=Weihnachten#cgid=Weihnachten&start=7 - there doesn't seem to be any cardboard background, the star looks 3D, and there is almost certainly a clear plastic support for the star.
Thanks for the link, Macruran - I have to agree with your disagreement!  :D  I was looking at the older nativity set on the .de site and I completely missed the new set as I didn't think that there would be 2 nativity sets at the same time.  My bad.   :-[

I wish that they would redo the sheep now to match the new lamb... I think the Shepherd's flock needs an upgrade ;)
I'm glad that I'm not the only one :)

Maybe we can use the little baby for Christmas and the big baby for Epiphany.

I want to get the wise men because I'm on a quest to have a whole troop of wise men. It's harder to justify a 2nd nativity, but that stable is tempting (I have the 1st version with the cardboard stable). The lantern looks a bit anachronistic.

Yes the lantern is definitely an anachronism, they would have done better to have an light-up cooking fire or something.

Maybe next time the wise men will have ipods to appeal to the "target consumer"
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.

Wait a minute - corn cobs?!?!? How much more anachronistic could they possibly get?

Did you ever think "Why doesn't PM just hire me as product consultant. I'd work for room and board!"

They probably would have had what looks sort of like a genie lamp, for lack of a better way to describe it.

I know!!! But remember, they aren't really corn cobs, they're chuck pistons, so that makes it ok. :P

I wish they'd stop putting the only gorgeous peasants available in the same repeating set - an expensive one. The "real" stable is a lot better than the card one, but still, more stuff we could do without - besides ANOTHER winged kid, like stars, stupid blinky winkies, cribs of straw, and a freaking palm tree! Besides, and though I like cowies - or bullies (the bull kind! ;) ) - and donkeys, I could do without the added price increase. Also, why can't they make a separate set with the shepherd (an even MORE gorgeous one this time  )?!

End rant. For now.   ;D
