Okay welcome to my vanity thread, where I will be posting pictures of my stuff. Let's start with my Romans shall we!
Here we see my aristocrats:

I've made the emperor an old man so that he can have two grown sons, one a sybarite (in the purple tunic and white toga) and one a soldier. I haven't decided whether the purple caped officer or the blue caped officer will be the soldier son, or what the other one will be. Captain of the guard? The son's noble friend?
I am also considering having the emperor be the governor of the province (Dysprosia Ulterior), so I can keep all the action there and never go to Playrome at all.
The woman in yellow will be the virtuous Roman wife, and the one in the green will be the manipulative mean one, basically copying Niobe and Atia from the BBC series Rome. The guy all the way on the right will probably be a wealthy aristocrat that the green woman uses while having designs on the two sons.
Now the army. I present to you:
LEGIO XXIII LUDENSIS

LEG. XXIII LUD., the Twenty Third "Playful" Legion, is the only legion stationed in Dysprosia Ulterior, and is responsible for security throughout the province, as well as the occasional raid into barbarian territory, since Dysprosia Ult. is right on the border of the Playroman Empire.
The legion proper:

The main body of troops consists of heavy legionaries, and is led by the legatus legionis on his horse (the horse is named Nivellius - "Snowy"). Two tribunes accompany him, one fresh out of the capital and very inexperienced in battle, the other a grizzled veteran of many campaigns.
The second centurion of the legion:

Note his
vitis or discipline stick.
Ably assisting the centurion is:

the
optio, with a longer staff for keeping the battle line in order, and a distinguishing crest.
The cornicen:

I went with the chainmail option instead of gluing the head to a regular legionary helmet as so many did. My modding style is very purist, I like to use only official parts with no paints or glues whatsoever. Though I certainly appreciate other styles very much!
A cohort of archers:

Each auxiliary cohort has its own officer. As yet they are unnamed but will each have a name and a story.
Some engineering troops:

These doughty fighters man the artillery and siege equipment.
The admiral of small provincial fleet, with some of his sailors.

And finally an
ala of cavalry:

For right now I am using the 7880s as cavalry in their original helmets but with spears instead of pilums. I may switch their helmets to legionary helmets at some point. Also I need to swap that blue bridle out for a brown or black one.
So anyway that's my main Roman collection! I've left out all the barbarians and plenty of extra klickys, not to mention the gladiators, about which more later! Sorry for the substandard photography, I'll do better next time!
