Nuremberg Toyfair Video
« on: February 01, 2014, 17:05:28 »
Up on Playmobil's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzErri_Ex4Y
It looks great, most of the big themes are shown, with details like the working light on the coast guard station, the sound and lights for the fire brigade and so forth. Narrator is Judith Weingart, head of public relations and a very nice lady. She was one of the principle people we worked with when the collector reps met in Germany with the company to get the PCC started.

Thanks for the link, Tiermann! That is a cool video. Apparently they are the Hawk Knights, not Falcon Knights again. :)

Thanks for the link, Tim.  Interesting video, but still not as informative as a 360 degree view.  The siren on the new fire engines is disappointing, and I wish they used the continental style modulating thirds siren.

Thank you Tim for bringing this to our attention. I do not go to FB so I would have missed it. There were some very nice shots of the new sets. The presenter did a great job but they should at least let her touch the big stuff

The one thing I wanted to see was the hay cart and how it opens up and I did not want to hear that the LED ghost was infected with rainbows, come on ::)

If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Tim, thank you very, very much!

And, for those of you who haven't yet seen the NEW 2014 King's Castle (that Judith previewed at the Nürnberg Toy Fair), here's a link to the video and the story ...

Thanks for the link, Tim. A nice close-up of all the new stuff. And it was nice getting to see Judith, she does seem very nice.

Gordon, I think the box-back and 360 views will be put up there eventually. It usually takes a few weeks for the new releases. They already have the box-back images for the first half of 2014 items.

Thanks for the links.

The entrance-gate of the big castle is even more awful then I first thought... completely blue on the inside.
Would it's doors have the same size as those from the gate of the Falcon-castle 4866? If yes, one could order those from DS to change the castle's gate. Otherwise it will be the spraycan to make it look less childish...
It also seems the rockbase is really a big part of the ground level, so this castle uses much less wall-area then with the previous large castles (idea copied from the Western-Fort).
The video confirms again the castle's house (not the complete keep) looks nice from the front, but not sideways; much too narrow there.
I think the smaller castle - after exchanging the red drawbridge with a brown one or repainting it - will be the better looking one.

Btw, I thought Frau Weingart had retired about a year ago?! Am I confusing her with someone else?

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!
