Catalog in US and UK Magazine

Two pretty much unrelated topics here. Just got the Playmobil 2014 US catalog in the mail. If you've ordered off the website or by phone in the last year you usually get one. It had a Figures series 4 boy figure in the bag with it this year. Mine turned out to be the blue alien, which is great as it's one I will definitely use some time.

The Playmobil magazine has a new issue out in the UK available at Tescos I believe. It is the dinosaur edition with the baby T-rex in it. I wasn't able to get a copy of the German version of that but now I have a contact in the UK sending me the Uk one. So soon I will have that baby T-rex, unique to the magazine.

Hm, interesting they sent a F?gure with the catalog, that's the first time they've ever had a give-away with it isn't it?

Which baby T-rex is that? They really are cute.

In the past I've gotten a keychain with it - back when they had the fireman keychain. It's been a while I think since then without the gift.
Tahra has posted the baby rex before, it has different back striping than the regular one from the set. At Animobil here

Hm that is interesting that you get a free figure with your catalogue gets it's primarily an incentive to get more people to order from them seeing as the figures are probably quite cheap to produce particularly if they're producing them in bulk

Do you usually receive something with the catalog, Tim?  I receive at least one catalog every year and I place 2 or 3 orders most years yet I have never received anything with the catalog.   :'(  Here's hoping this is a new development!   :)

I have never gotten a gift of such in the catalog. I get the free gift which is usually a game when you order $40 or more but that is it. Occasionally I get the new catalog in a manila envelope but no keychain or fi¿ure is ever in there.

Is it that Tim has friends high up and its only for him? For what Tim does not only here but in the pcc I do not see it as odd at all.
