Hoplites (greek warriors) with 3D printed accessories
« on: January 20, 2014, 20:54:20 »
Hi buddies.

I don't recall posting those, or at least, not all of them. So here we go!

A gladiator (Secutor, version #2)

The shield for the following comes from Malone

And eventually, my latest production, the leather breastplates! A big thank you to Grangel, who asked me to make those in the first place.

Hope you like them!

Great work designing those sheild and with those helmets some of thsoe plumes really look the business. Like the guy with Malones helmet design and those leather breastplates it all makes me think of the BBC series I've jsut finished watching the 1st season of Atlantis where they used leather chest plates with simple outfits on the heroe Jason adn the soldiers amongst other characters  :roman:

Those do look beautiful. I can really see how the texture is grainy. The kids brought home a 3D item from a store the other day and now I know what you guys are talking about with trying to sand it.

Don't go work for Geobra, just go freelance , copyright them quickly and when Geobra tries to make them in 3 years stop them  ;D

Are you planning on selling the printed ones? Sounds like you have some customers in here. I would get some too ;)
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

If only Geobra would take the hint: "MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!!" instead of going down the slopes with all the "fantasy-ish" crap...Sorry, just my two cents.Great work, btw.

 :o :o :o

Do you expect improvment of the prints' grainity within forseeable time? These 'shapes' are so great, I'd just like to see them in 'perfect' finish. :-)
@geobra: Thanks a lot! :-)

(Sorry for the late reply)
I know for sure that HD resin doesn't have this grainy aspect, and it's already available. But it's expensive, very expensive. Between 30 and 45€ for a helmet… 8}
