What a great city you have Birdie.  I love the interiors!  They're awesome, especially the hotel.  Nice job.

Never thought to use the stage coach in this setting before, but it fits perfectly.  Great idea.

Thank you very much, everyboy  :thanks:

Must have taken you ages to build it.

Well, it took me six full days, in between Christmas dinners and New Year's family gatherings. It takes a lot of time gathering supplies and sorting out stuff. But I loved every minute  ;D

The interiors are my favorite. I love seeing all the maids, cooks, and  governesses hard at work.

Mine too! It made me think of that British tv series Downton Abbey, do you know it? That's why I really wanted some servant's quarters too.

Never thought to use the stage coach in this setting before, but it fits perfectly.  Great idea.

Thanks Jay! Well actually a lot of western stuff fits in with the Victorian theme. I also transformed the 5249 cavalry car with parts from the 3735 harvest car:

Sometimes I'm inclined to buy extra stuff because it's available out there, but actually being creative with the pieces you've already got is very satisfying.

Great interior shots of your diorama. I really think  you did a wonderfull job on setting it to look like its all caught in the moment of life. How all the kids are playing with toys and the teacher is looking out at her empty class made me laugh. The kids sitting on the train looking at the performance looks so natural. The mom holding the little kids hand and her head is turned just right. Very nice attention to detail.

The dividing walls in the rooms looks good and really gives more areas to set up.

So the non-playmo is sulivan? like the white piano

My wife loves those British shows, if only she would set up playmobil as good as yours  Shes always claiming to not know how to play with toys since 13

Thanks for sharing

Spectacular!

I had a few 4 foot by 8 foot train tables out last month and put out the 3 doll houses (5300,5301, 5302) and was amazed at how much space they took up.  I didn't have enough table space to really set up a train based diorama.  So I went to the smaller Tudor houses.

How large is the display overall?  I'm wondering if I should rethink my decision when I start anew.

He'd be most welcome  ;D

How large is the display overall?  I'm wondering if I should rethink my decision when I start anew.

The table is nearly 2 by 2,5 metres (with a gap in one of the corners, or I wouldn't have been able to reach the middle part properly).
At first I wanted to loop the train around the sides, but it took up too much space.
But that's mainly because of the park and gardens I wanted to squeeze in etc.

I'd love to see what you've come up with!

It's a very beautifull set up, so many little details! its hard to pick favorite parts since it all seems to tie together very well.

The busy park, the streets, the worker class houses, the station, the orphanage, the hotel, the houses.. the gardener, it all looks beautifull.  :)

I'd love to see maybe a short story told in this set up? it seems perfect for it.. seems you have an entire setup ready to make picture stories as if its a tv series.

Birdie
Your Victorian world is wonderful, I love all of the details in the interiors, and like others have said, it all seems like a snapshot of an instant.  I have enjoyed going through your photos over and over.  Your way of combining the sets makes everything look new again.  Will you be able to leave it up for awhile to enjoy?
