Oh My!  Did it screw up my spacing.  And yes, most of my sets are multiples of the same set.  Had I became hooked on Playmobil earlier, my collection would be larger.  One item I would have bough multiples of would have been the steers in the Western theme.  I started in 2005 at age 62.

WOW!  I think someone just called me a liar!!!  And that is all I will say on the subject, as I do not want to get a flame war going.

No, someone was just realistic and shed some light into the dark.

I should start being organized as well. Let me make a begin:

                                     Sets    Pieces     T.P   Klicky's    T. K.   Critters   T.CT
4611    Royal Guard         300      7         2100     1          300        0          0

This is more time consuming than I thought... 8}

Cheers,
HDL

That sounds/reads like an awesome roman collection

So are they all MIB or do you open them up?

We open a few of a set and the duplicates usually go into a big box packed away. I have wanted to display them but that takes more room.

I think the same thing about starting to collect earlier. Bigger and better collection.  I missed the golden years of playmobil in the 80's and 90's
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

I had done this with my LEGO collection and when I started collecting Playmobil it just followed my prevous spreadsheets.  It was not as bad as my LEGO, I had 20 some what years to deal with.  It does take time, but if you get all of one theme sets and start with their set number, it does work

Most of my collection are still in their boxes/bags/blisters.  Useing the Roman klickes as an example, I use tacal boxes from Wal-Mart.  each box will hold 2 klickes per compartment, thats 24.  They sell another box with a large area and enough space for a couple of knights and their horses and accessories.  The set 5894, only the Spanish soldier  (I have 26 and counting)  has been kept out.  The rest of the items in the set go into a bigger box.

Yes, I would to have been able to collect then.

I think you are just confirming my hypothesis, that these were multiples of the same set; I count 21 Roman sets in this list. It seems our terminology (and understanding) was different (on what a "set" meant)  ???

Anyway, just out of curiosity I counted my own knight sets, and I have 155 out of the 252 listed in PlaymoDB  ;D Some of them multiple times but I count them as one (set)

To me a set can be either one klicky in a container or a set as in a castle.  Yes, if I buy 10 of the same set, then it is still 10.  The way my data base is set up, I can look at a set and see it contains 1 klicky.  And next column gives me the total number of klickies from the number of sets I have.  It comes in handy when I am working up an army and need to how many klickies I have.

I'm impressed that you have tallied the number of pieces. I keep a record of sets, klickies and notes on whether the set is complete or not, but no total piece count.

Wish I had time to create such catalog.... For now I'm only recording the set numbers (and box photo) I have and not the # of klickies etc.  :-\
