Super Playmobil Haul
« on: November 13, 2013, 22:09:17 »
Hello guys on Monday I was heading off to Hobbycraft from another appointment to pick up some supplies and on the way I thought I'd stop by the Market and see if they had any good Playmobil figures for sale low and behold the usual selection of Playmobil but, also two big boxes of Playmobil turned out the person on the stall seemed fairly desperate to get rid of it all so I bought a few bags at £1 or £2 each and 1 or 2 figures which I think are usually 50p each plus the person selling the big boxes said take as much as you want for £3 so I picked up some bags of figures and a bag of hats which I forgot to take photos of and they were virtually thrusting it on me saying go on take some more take it all here have another bag ot put it all in, well ok then alright. Seeing as I was going on public transport and walking home later I only took what I thought I could carry so I left some baseplates and stuff behind plus a whole load of stuff which looked like walls and such to build a house plus I saw later that another stall had a mdoern helicopter and a Roman Siege Tower with a bag of about 4 soliders for £7 not inteested in the SIege Tower but, it might have been worth asking whether they would have sold just the bag of figures and how much they would have wanted for that. As it was this is what I got all for £7

Some racing advertising things

Other side

A bed and mirror, some fencing, a skateboard ramp, a Giraffe missing one horn and an ice cave thing from one of those artic dino expedition sets?

Loads of boats not sure what the technical name is for the one with a sail someone mentioned it earlier but, not sure, will look some of these stuff up but, the red boats look as though they could be Fire Department? not sure what set the trailer is from

A random base plate of some sort with a heavy metal bit on the bottom, a good part of the swimming pool set, and what looks like the base of the Take Along Knights set these last 2 should be good for some photo shoots partiuclarly the Castle since I've got no buildings. Oh eys and a red bench I forgot to photograph

And most exciting of all the figures

Gotta a good mix in here what with all the bags I picked up plenty of 1970's and 1980's figures plus a few more recent like the bride who I had as a kid and a 1990's biker who'll be great company for my other 2 when I find him an extra motorbike. I'm very happy to say that I've got a 1970's Knight and lovely 1980's Cowboy in there hopefull not my last Cowboy plus some more Knights and a Pirate to keep my lone castaway company (the hats bag came with a spare hair piece and bandana fortunately since the Pirate came bald plus his cutlass and loads of shoulder holsters)

I was also very excited about getting some nice 1980's figures including the lovely ladies much more my style than the new ladies might be just that I'm not much of a one for the girls though, but some fo my faovuirtes had to be the two little boys in their brightly coloured simply designed outfits I even found one of the old Victorian paper hat style sailors hats in the bag as well

Finally all grouping together manning the Castle or enjoying the view as the case may be

As you may be able to see I've already started dealing out some new extra accessories for them and swpaping some of their hairpieces around including a lady with a mans spiky hair swappping with the soldier with Garnny Bun  ;D :-[

And being protected by the Action Men from the destructive hands of the Gardeners  ;) even more so when they're armed to mount a 'Flying Teddy Attack' I'm not kidding either they're ruddy destructive when they get going Playmobil flying everywhere  :o.

nice additions.

The boat is called a catamaran, set 7720 from DS. Though the cross-beams are obviously system-x and do not belong on the boat  ::)

The trailer looks like the one used in set 3041

The red boats are used in several sets: 7263 (DS), 3772. The little one is probably from set 4489

Thanks you should have seen the Giraffe on Monday afternoon guarding the Castle and facing off against the wind up Caterpillar  :lol: this morning I come in to find the swimming pool filled up with water perfect since I've brought my little boy in his speedos in for a paddle, I get accused of making a mess with water going everywhere so I said look mate I'm not the one who filled it up with water and tossing little dolls in and skateboarding kids in down the ramp, everything went in from the rubber duck to naked Action Men  :o plus the disaster of trying to springboard the child into the pool the ceiling more like  8}

Congratulations on the new additions. Some great old style hats there.

Thanks there certainly are it looks like I've found a Cavalry hat as well in the bunch  :)

Great additions!

Love the pic with the action men standing at attention :)

Thanks they may sometimes pretend to dislike each other but, they're quite good pals really looking out for each other

You got some very nice new additions, congrats!!

Thanks mate I certainly have got a good load of figures and other bits  :)

Thanks for the information mate I did think the pieces on the Catamaran looked a bit out of place, it's good to know where the trailer bit comes from. I did have look on the Playmobil Database and it does indeed look as though they're Rescue Service so looks like my Helicopter Pilots or my Firemen willg et soem good use out of them   ;)
