Does this Esso-set have a number?
« on: November 11, 2013, 09:09:17 »
I own the 3434 (Esso) and 3437 (Shell) gas-station sets, and recently came across this set on Ebay.

Does this set have a PM number? It looks like a promotional set and can't find it on PlaymoDB nor in the CE

Its a nice set (shame about the price  :o) and the box looks like a special Promotion package.

By CE do you mean Collector? I can't find this set in there either.  :(
At that moment the ship suddenly stopped rocking and swaying, the engine pitch settled down to a gentle hum. 'Hey Ford.' said Zaphod, 'that sounds good. Have you worked out the controls on this boat?' 'No,' said Ford, 'I just stopped fiddling with them.' (With thanks to Douglas Adams)

I have never seen this box style before.  These (Esso Sets) were given away as promos at Esso stations in Canada when I was a kid.  The box I have is plain, brown cardboard and just some text on it to indicate what it is.
