House parts vintage wich set?
« on: September 29, 2013, 18:58:45 »
On the attic we found an old Playmobil house. I built two floors but still have some parts left. I couldn't find any pictures of a house that looks similar to this one. Can anyone help us here?

I don't know why it doesn't work with my photo's. I tried the way you said Tahra and the way I did it before but no results...

Those are from the ancient western theme... I have no idea if the more recent "take along" western thing fits with it (I don't have that one)

(btw, you used html code, no good.. You need to put the file image location in img tags, like this (without the spaces) :

I couldn't stop searching yesterday evening and finally I found out it were probably three sets. Famobil (never heard of before) 3427 and 3428. We also have an extra roof so maybe it used to be two of 3427.

They belonged to my husband and his brother. He assumes it may have been holiday presents in Portugal. Is that possible?
Tahra I saw you bought one of these not too long ago. Is that also the same one?

They're so nice! (Although they're not complete and a bit broken).

Yes, I bought it in a lot.. sometime ago.. Though I'm not sure of which set - doesn't concern me much, with the bunch of lose stuff we have  :P - though a LOT of them have broken and missing pieces too :(

Famobil was playmobil's name here in Portugal (and Spain) in the past... (Famosa was the representative). But those are playmobil sets, not Famobil exclusives or anything.. Just look at the old west theme ;)

There were several gorgeous buildings, that could be put together in several ways. Not at all close to what steck allows, but still....

Thank you Tahra. I thought they were exclusive Famobil because Playmobil has the set 3427/28 also in a different color (red roof and white pillars). In these it's all brown.

I've been wondering about that red roof too. In the Playmobil catalogue the 3427 western farm house seems to have a red roof in the picture, and light green rather than dark green windows. But actually I think it's dark brown and dark green but extensively lit to photograph it.

The same thing happened with the picture of the western miners hotel 3426, I think, judging from this picture:

In any case, my Playmobil 3427 is dark brown with brown pillars too.

Thank you Birdie. I also wondered if the pictures made it look red instead of brown. It is a nice set anyway.

Your hotel-set is cool! I like those miniature houses.

Oh the hotel isn't mine - I wish  :)  I've got a number of the western houses, but I haven't found this one for a reasonable price yet.

Playmobil houses, big or small, I like them all  ;D

If you didn't have the front of the brown Western house, you probably have the Western Stables set.

Although the image makes it seem it has a red roof and white posts, these were never available in those colours. Posts are brown and roof is dark brown as well.

in those days, it also happened that sets sometimes had different colors then the artwork on the box.
