figure suggestions/predictions.
« on: August 28, 2013, 14:10:18 »
Seeing how the figures are here to stay and with batch 5 released, I'm already looking forward to what batch 6 will bring.

my suggestions:

men:
-Victorian english gentleman with bowler hat and walking stick. (and a curly mustache and a monicle of course)
-Norman knight in chainmail and helmet with noseguard. Armed with a long spear, sword and tear shaped shield.
-Frankenstein clicky. (seems perfect considering the figures are designed to easily swap body parts.)
-Dwarf smith with hammer and apron.
-spanish toreador.
-Hospitaller knight.
-bodyguard in suit with sunglasses.
-Gladiator.
-renaissance merchant with paper and bag of gold.
-medieval messenger with sealed scroll and carrying a bag that the scroll can be put in.
-sailor with signal flags.
-Aztec warrior with traditional aztec warclub and shield.
-Prisoner in orange jumpsuit.
-Redcoat drummer.
-American revolutionairy soldier with musket and early american flag.

women:
-Amazon dressed in classical greek armor style, armed with a bow.
-Old victorian lady.
-Dutch cheese girl, wearing traditional dutch dress and carrying a cheese wheel.
-Medieval adventurer with sword and torch.
-African tribewoman, wearing a dress of animal print similar to the cavegirl but wearing a necklace and armbands.
-Harem dancer.
-Pirate captain.
-Mountain climber with rope, pickaxe and backpack.
-business woman with glasses, cellphone and briefcase.
-Hockey player.
-school girl in school uniform.
-gladiatrix.
-Indian warrior with warpaint, bow and spear.
-Shipwrecked pirate in torn clothes with ragged pirate flag and a sword.
-bee keeper.

Well, after the preview, I can't play the guess game  :-X

But if they ever come up with a sadistic coward bull torturer (I'm being polite)... There are no words in entish, elvish or any language of men to classify that.

After having seen Elaine's Scottish bagpipers, I would love Playmobil to release something like that (as I don't have the talent to make one myself!)

I like the beekeeper suggestion. I needed one for a project, tried to use the fencing mask instead, but ended up abandoning it.

A rocker with a bass rather than a guitar. (Don't get me started on the missed opportunity with the new rock band theme!  :'( )

Sherlock Holmes, with pipe and magnifying glass.

Hockey player. I need adult ice skates and they are apparently hard to find!

Great suggestions Rhalius.  I'm with you Salamander on the rocker with a bass.  A glaring omission in the rock band line up. I really wish the rockers were a bit more edgy.  All the new rockers are way too "American Idol" "One Directionish"  for me.  I want a grisly looking dude with tattoos, not Justin Bieber.
I'll also second your business wowan Rhalius.  Nearly all of the modern females have that "mom" look to them.  I'd like to see some more professional, business-oriented looking females.
I would also like to see a Mexican Luchador wrestler figure.

Great suggestions!

I'd like to see:
a female knight (aka Joan of Arc)
male Scottish bagpiper in red plaid kilt - with Scottish terrier
female Irish step dancer
Victorian butler (the Victorian servants are nearly all female)
Victorian footman
medieval monk (not fat) with quill
woman in a colorful African dress with a hat - ex: http://africanwedding.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/wpid537-Guest-african-wedding-dresses-27964.jpg
18th French woman with high powdered wig, beauty mark, and full skirt (not wearing pink!!!) with opera glasses and a fan
a b&w pierrot (old style, not too clownish)
a Korean women in traditional dress - any sort of figures in traditional costumes would be welcome, as I'm putting together an international collection
a flapper girl
1940's male aviator - white scarf, brown leather jacket, aviator goggles, hat
a Romani woman
a man in a kimono - or really an Asian guy that isn't a samurai, ninja or rapper
a man in 19th century riding costume
a Swiss guard

ALL the suggestions on this page are FAR better than what the mystery figures have been for the upcoming series which have been revealed yet we can not talk about...

Especially with relation to the boy figures.
