Kato's red devils wear white

sporting new white sarashi(cotton belts)
Combinations of red and gold were very popular with many Samurai armies.
Kato Kiyosama's JANOME(snake's eye) mon(crest)
could have been used to evoke fear in his enemies...
there are also stories that it was meant as a powerful talisman.
