Greetings from Canada!
« on: June 03, 2013, 15:54:10 »
Greetings from Canada, Playmofriends!

After a several year absence from Playmobil - mainly due to my kids hitting their tweens/teens and no longer being interested - I have rediscovered my love of klickies!

I first discovered Playmo in the 90s. Bought my son the Dragon's Temple when he was still far too young to appreciate it, and spent the next ten years adding to it!  My kids both loved all their Playmobil, but were sometimes frustrated when their friends came over, because that was *all* they wanted to play with.

I joined Playmoboard in the early 2000s - I found some emails from other board members from 2003-2009, so I was active there at that time. Also joined Laughing Giraffe, and post there occasionally after several years away. Happy to have found another active board!  I do recognise many names here!

Saw some Playmobil six months or so ago, and it rekindled my enthusiasm! Dug all of ours out of the attic where it had been boxed up and put when we moved three years ago.

Love the fantasy/medieval themes, but have found that I'm also really enjoying the city/modern life stuff which I had not collected before.

Have been lurking for a few days - mostly reading tahra's Process thread from start to finish! ;D  Looking forward to exploring more!

Hi Salamander... (you're in Vancouver, right?) if so, welcome to PF - from across the strait of Georgia (Victoria)!  Yes, Tahra's "process" is a great read!  The Dragon's Temple was my first 'big' purchase (now it's one of the smaller ones ;D). I hope you have lots of fun here!

Thanks everyone!  :D

You have a good memory David, I am indeed just across the water from you!

I've been playing catch up with the surprise figures that came out while I was 'away' (and which I *love*!).  Have found a few stores with older stock, so I've managed to get quite a few of the ones I wanted!
