Spring in the Rock and Water Garden
« on: April 15, 2013, 20:21:06 »
Hello been taking loads of photos, today it finally felt like spring and I was happily lawn edging and enjoying the sun, I went over to take a look at a a bit of fence which needed fixing and I saw loads of lovely plants had come into flower, well I just had to take advantage of that so I took some photos before I went down for my lunch hope you all enjoy

First off setting sail on the good ship Coconut (improvemnts may be added at some point) found on site with BTCV last week

One of these days I fully intend to get my little guys one of the old pirates rowing boats so they can join me out on the pond without sinking to the bottom but, tat the minute I want to concentrate my attentions on other projects so that I don't become distracted

And this is what he was trying to sail towards Caltha Palustris (Marsh Marigold)

I'm not sure what this one is but, it looks like some kind of buttercup at a guess

It is very peaceful down by the pond

I think these are Chiondoxa they form quite a nice drift of starry little flowers

And finally these look like Anenome Blanda a very beautiful bluey purple

Gorgeous pictures.  It is good to see that you have helpers in the garden.  :yup:  That cocoanut shell makes a nifty vessel.   Thanks so much for sharing your garden with us.

Oh that's not my garden it's Sheffield Botanical Gardens one of the places where I work as a volunteer it's full of colour to much colour sometimes to know where to start taking all the photos you want, I'm glad you like my helpers really I need to get them more tools I'm sure they'd appreciates some spades and mattocks/picks and such like plus extras of the tools they've already got. I've got to agree with you the coconut works well as a boat I'm sure it could hold more passengers although I doubt they'd all stand up  :).
