The execution of Jack Crusoë ...

Castaway Jack Crusoë finally got of his little Carribean island, but the ship which picked him up turned out to be a British frigate. They've now arrived in Panamaica,  and poor Jack will be hanged for piracy! 

I've seen custom-gallows before, but I came up with own version rather accidently while working on my harbour yesterday evening. Thought to share the pic...  (he doesn't really hang yet, so I hope it is okay to show it like that)

It is macabre, but a habourtown needs a good spot for punishing piracy...

only missing a trapdoor

I first thought of using a trapdoor from a castle, but if I use it I can't fit the gallow. The gallow can only be attached  to the middle of a 2-section steckpart of the lower construction.  For using a trapdoor, I'd have to think of another way of assembling the gallow...

Those gallows look good but, I do feel sorry for poor Jack

I like the look of this and might try one myself.  As for the trap door dilemma you could use a bucket like cowabunga said or maybe a chair.
