My Snow Photos
« on: January 21, 2013, 21:31:42 »
Hello folks we had a bit of snow last week although not as much as some parts of the UK by the sounds of it and we got a bit more when I woke up this morning, I've taken lots of photos so starting with the ones I took last week:

Loading up from the grit bin "why oh why did we not get more shovels than I wouldn't have to do all the shovelling and the spreading"

Out to grit the paths

"Man that's a big hill, it's gonna be a long day!"

"I think I might need a bigger barrow"

Later on in the week he joined me and the BTCV gang at a place called Buntings Wood  it looke dvery beautiful covered in frosted snow although my feet did not agree with me on this point

That's a bit better photo of the frost

He decided to take a look at what we were doing, it's my first time having a go at Hedgelaying where you aim to cut nearly through the stem of the tree but, not quite so that the tree can lye flat to be laid with still a bit of the tree attached to the original stem system I think I did alll right cutting through the trees at my own pace without managing to make the same mistake as the guy showing me how to do it who just cut it to far and went straight through it  :-[ :o

These ones are from this week, first of he wanted to take a look at our Pavillions (big Greenhouses)

Lovely photos,  the gardens look beautiful in the snow.
I really love the photo where he is wheeling the barrow along the path

I.m very jealous of all that snow, we must be in the only part of the UK that hasn't had any snow  :hissyfit:
In fact today's been just like summer - rain, rain and more rain!

Great photos! I especially love the ones where his scarf appears to be blowing in the wind.

I too am incredibly jealous of all that lovely snow. We don't ever get to klicky sinking depth, an we only get even flurries of snow once every five years or so. Our record snowfall in my area is three inches.

In the end, we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. We will understand only what we are taught.

Great pics - and I like his scarf!

I'm jealous of the snow too! We get none.
