IP-adresses getting blocked by playmo.db
« on: January 01, 2013, 22:56:32 »
On Klickywelt, there were several reports past weeks about people's IP-adresses getting blocked by playmo.db when visiting the site, and having to wait at least one hour before getting access again, but the problem then shows up again later.
For me everything kept going fine when visiting playmo.db (so I thought it was perhaps a problem solely occuring with German adresses), until today I followed a link on KW...  Now I too can't access playmo.db anymore, I'll try again in a few hours.

Other people here having the same problem?
Heather, any clue what is causing it?

I had this problem on Sunday, but it's OK today.

This is a widespread problem, apparently - seems to be especially bad in Europe. I have a ticket open with the host, and they're supposed to be working on it.

PLEASE EMAIL ME at playmodb@gmail.com with your IP - the number that appears on the error screen  - IMMEDIATELY when the error occurs. You may be unblocked after an hour, but I need to know within the hour so I can pass it on to the host so they can catch it while it's happening.

If I get any more useful information, I'll pass it on.

Frustrating, I know! Very sorry! Why does the site always have trouble when I'm supposed to be on holiday?

I wish you luck in figuring out the problem
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

Thanks - requested unblockage.  The blockages are slowing down, due to a few changes I made, so I'm on the right track... still working on it.

Heather, I tried to send you an update on some partnumbers through DB's comments-form, but that got blocked too (though I'm overall again able to access the site)

The partnumber-changes are regarding the darkbrown hull and the tanbrown upperdeck of the 5135 pirates ship
(I noticed on my latest ships there were small alterations to the design of the upperdeck compared with the first production-runs, but perhaps they've made changes to the hull as well)

* darkbrown ship's hull: old number 30 22 8412, new number 30 23 2852
 (hull is momentarily not available for ordering, mentions the german site)
* main tanbrown upperdeck: old number 30 22 8422, new number 30 23 2842

Thanks Hadoque. You can just email me if you want - the comment-form is heavily spam-protected, due to abuse (not you of course!). I'll add those parts into the system, and put them in 5135 as "unofficial", since they don't appear on instructions.

Hi Heather, if you want confirmation, the new numbers for 5135  are mentioned (together with the old numbers) in the replacement-parts section of the official german site;
