Christmas Decorations
« on: December 09, 2012, 21:39:51 »
Hello I went into town the other weekend and spotted the Christmas Decorations from Blackpool, it's not aplace I normally have time to visit so later in the week I headed out early to take some photos on my way to BTCV.  It's something which has a lot of history with me as originally the team that's meant to be setting it up held it in the Botancial Gardens where I'm sure you'll remember that I've been volunteering for quite some time, and now it being held in the Winter Gardens/Peace Gardens which is one of the places looked after by the City Centre team who I did some work experience with for a time. It looked quite good but, the general feeling is that it would have been better to be concentrated in a smaller part of the gardens instead fo spread across half of the gardens, also we ended up doing a lot of the setting up that should have been the events teams responsibilty and it always left the gardens in quite a mess afterwards  >:( so we were all glad when it was moved down to the City Centre. Anyway sorry about the rant, photo time  <*) :elf:

"Wow look at the size of that!"

He was very excited to meet one of our shared childhood favourites

Thanks for the pics, very interesting. I generally don't like the big lighted blow up things, but I would totally get one of those police boxes for my yard.

Thanks we can dream they had a nice old style TARDIS and Dalek at the Museum in Manchester. I've got tosay I enjoyed the display it's nice but, it feels a bit sparse inside (wlell alst time I was there anyway) and outside but, it's not the sort fo place where you'd spend a long time more likely just a walk through possibly some photos although it does mean the market has been able to be more spread out instead of all boxed in that area which works better, I know though if you do to much it's a pain to setup and clear up diffuclt balance
