Incredible technology and of course Arnaud your designs are great!
I will like to explorer this technology from a closer view

Go ahead, Angelo! If I can do it, you can do it. You just need to "see" the design as multiple basic shapes intertwined. How do you make a 20 cm hollow sphere with a 2cm shell? You just create an 18 cm hollow sphere, place it inside the 20cm one, align both centers in the three axises, and group them! A few more steps and you have a helmet!  ;D

Come on, Erwin, think about a printed 3-master - that would be something...

Aaarrghhh... I hadn't thought of that!

When one could 3D-print a trimaster that just looks and feels like Playmobil and is of even qualitative material, that would make me want a few  I would still prefer Geobra to release one though  ;)

I still have doubts about where the evolution of 3-D printing might lead us... It could make dreams come true, but also nightmares... In a not so far future someone might f.e. 3-D print himself a nuke?!  8}

Come on Erwin! 3D printing can duplicate shapes, not elements! It won't print Uranium!  :)
Think again of that ship. Breathe. Cool down, Cassandra.

 :giggle:

I know at the moment it is quite farfetced what I said, but printers used to print... ink.  Now a 3D- printer prints plastics, and perhaps a few other materials.
Future developments might allow different materials to be fed to such printers, or a mix of materials....
Though "enriched printed uranium" is indeed not so likely  ;D

Hey buddies!
I can't wait until the next batch reaches me, so here are 2D views of what will come.
@Cheng: sorry I couldn't answer to your mails, the week end with the hobbitses has been veeeeeery busy. I managed to finish this two-handed Katana thanks to you! The weapon, with handle, is 9,9cm long...that's somme really big sword!

This one will have a Playmo feather crest and two feathers on the side.

Same here, two feathers on the sides. A few details corrected.

@Tahra: this last one is the same I already printed, except I made the crest and the brim of the "hat" thicker. The peep-holes are bigger too, so you can see the clicky's eyes through.

Best,
A

Arnaud, in my opinion, i think your 2-handed katana should have a proportately longer handle and no need to curve too much (unlike those swords attached to the end of a pole) ...remember this photo?

You didn't send me this one, Cheng. But thanks, I will correct the curve and I was wondering about the handle as well. How about the total length of the weapon? Almost 10 cm seems huge.
