@mike1003: You sometimes need to sacrifice realism to playability. I understand why Peter chose to make these handles playmobil-like.
@Javi: No my friend, they're not fantasy. ;) Even the Arabic helmet with the peacock is historical. The printer can print colors, but only basics, not gold. But, the designs on the shields are three dimensional, so they're easy to paint!

Arnaud, I've taken the liberty to save your that Manchu Qing helmet.....thank you!
I might make a General one day finished with an appripriate red tassel from his spike on top of his helmet.
What inspired you to take the trouble to draw this? you are not making a Manchu general soon are you? ;) the others are also very beautiful, its just that I'm restricting myself to Asians for now

Thanks Birdie and Cheng!  :-[
@Cheng: I was originally looking for a hair bun hood, and I found this hat! The problem when you Google Qin warrior, is that you always find the terracotta statues, and nothing more. I can't remember what I eventually typed to find this one.
Then, I searched for a nice dragon that fitted the sides of the hat, and learnt how to project a design upon another!
Tricky. But when I knew how to do it, I was able to make those decorated Hoplite shields!

someday...someday IF I get a 3D machine, I'll ask you ;) as for those hoods...beside illustrations by western artists, the only ones I can find are these movie stills from the movie "Redcliff" .....the actors didnt have hair buns underneath...the 'soft' cap was actually pre-formed urethane-like rubbery "helmet"
