Thanks for the pics... I NEED to go there.

Anyone interested?

Though it's probably better during classes in the summer...

And.. IS there a playmothemed hotel at the funpark? Anyone knows for sure?

Yes there is the Playmobil Aparthotel. Pictures of my room when I stayed there are at http://www.playmofriends.com/forum/index.php?topic=8366.msg151934#msg154398

Ah, thanks!

Is there a link for reservations? To look at availability and prices.. Somehow I'm having a hard time finding that...

Hope there's a post office near. Is there?  >:D

It's not cheap, the rooms are big and it would make sense for one or two people to share with you perhaps.

You do get a nice breakfast across the street at the HOB center included though

Big fat lot of good it does, in Zirndorf. They should have stores like this in every major city including NY, London and so on ...

yes! then they could exasperate themselves with their sales terms.

Thanks - will need to look at it better when the time comes..

.. at a glance it does look expensive (but with value, right? ;) ), and all in german.. Oh well.. Anyways, it would have to be more summerish and during classes.

Another option is to stay in the beautiful City of Nuremberg (more hotels and many interesting places to visit). From downtown it's possible to take the public transport (S Bahn and Bus). You will be in front of the FunPark in 25 minutes.

Leaving the Anwanden train station...

...to take the bus:

Off the bus:

The Promised Land:

Aerial View (Thanks Google Earth)

Thanks VicKlicktor :)

So, how long does it take to see everything (except for the store)?

I would say a couple of days, no? ;)

I'm seriously considering going on the last weekend of the month. My wife's into Christmas markets, and they probably have a reasonable one in Nuremberg (last xmas we went to Baden Baden, which was fantastic). From Brussels, flights and trains are pretty much the same, price-wise, with the difference being that the train trip's around 6-7 hrs and the flights only a couple (with 1 stop-over). One day going round Nuremberg cause I've never been, and the Fun Park a morning or an afternoon. I'm not really interested in the rides etc; I only want to go there to buy stuff from the shop. Either way, if what VK said is true re transport, makes more sense to stay in Nuremberg unless you have children or have an unsuppressable klicky fetish. The hotels are probably better and there would be more variety, entertainment-wise, in the evenings.

I admit to the latter. As for the first, the farther the better.  :P
