Well, my reasons for purchase, in order of importance:
1) It looks sweet!
2) I have a birthday coming up.
3) The cold and the coming winter make me gloomy: buying a PM hotel is cheaper than booking a flight to the nearest sunny location.
But what bonnie said works too

@ retronio22: If you remove the railing, there are several empty holes, so it should be possible to put walls there. But I think it will be a bit tricky: you would have to find enough wall pieces that fit neatly around the edges of the base plate. Most corners are not 90°. And there's the elevator to consider: there's a hole in the baseplate where the elevator is supposed to be.
If you would replace the doors and if you had enough white wall pieces, it could work. And then you could use it as a house as well... Interesting idea

But then you would have a lot of holes in the floor of your house.
