Speedodad dismantling
« on: October 21, 2012, 07:00:48 »
Hi everyone,

I thought there was a thread once describing how to disamble speedodad. This would also hold for the new indians. I've searched the forum, but don't seem to find it anymore. Could anyone tell me how to take these type of klickies apart?

Hey Jan!
Just like any other clicky, pull the head off with pliers. Wrap the head with kitchen paper so the jaws of the pliers don't bite the plastic.

Thank you Arnoud. I normally, carefully remove the legs using something thin and flat and put on other legs. Then I apply the Hans on method.

But I can try this.

Forgot to mention: twist the head to one side before pulling. :)

Thank you both,

I used a rubber band to remove the head. When I use pliers I always have scratches on the head.  >:(

After dismantling I realised the torso would not fit to normal legs..... :wall: :wall:
There goes my idea of switching torso's.

Yeah, it takes some work and customizing to make them fit. Btw, I heard a simple tip from Bill to keep pliers from scratching the head... just take a small piece of rubber tubing from the playmobil firehoses and stretch it over the tips of the needlenose pliers. Works like a charm, though it has to be replaced frequently.

Great idea, could try that one time! Thanks!

best way I've found for dismantling speedo-dad is to just grab his head and rip it off with the thumb and fore-finger... but I know that won't work from everyone, so good luck
Someday, I will organize my stuff, I promise.
