If it was Australian customs I could understand as I seen them rip open books and dolls to pieces and still send it on to the recipient, really if they damage an item they should cough up.
This item looks like its been stepped on several times, not just dropped, totally unacceptable,
Glad the seller refunded you even though im sure you would rather have the items undamaged, looks like it must have been done the post service end then.

IT sounds like the item was boxed and packaged correctly. The post had a third party carrier (air line) actually carry the item to Malta. In their care the item was crushed by what looks like the air planes wheel itself. Then it was scooped up, bagged and handed over to the Malta post who sent it on to you with an apology. They are hoping you leave it at that seeing that it is just a toy. The 3rd party has insurance and it can be tapped.

I would complain, complain, complain. The squeaky wheel gets oil, so squeak loudly, not physically but in letters to the post master. With or without insurance no company wants documented complaints on their record list. Find out what was meant by "OUTSIDE OUR AREA OF CONTROL" Typically companies will send you a quick note hoping it will blow over. Escalate it and do not let it blow over, make them take responsibility
If you hear the sound of the bell which will tell you that Grigori has been killed, if it was your relations who have wrought my death, then no one in the family will remain alive. They will be killed by the Russian people. :prays:

I'm hardly an expert in this area but, I can see why you and probably the seller are going to be angry, that is some major damage  :o >:(, couldn't say whether the packaging was sufficient for the contents but, it sounds like the seller cared enough to wrap it up as best they could and to give you a refund some positive at least I guess, good lcuk getting it sorted.

Yeah, I agree, the packaging might not have been ample enough, although at least the seller attempted to wrap it up well. They can't predict how the post office handles items like this, so it's not entirely their fault. I'm glad that the seller refunded you, too. Sorry that your set was ruined, good luck getting this sorted out. :(

yeah lets say so i wouldve expected aa box or so not just a bubble sheet wrapping . but still i don´t believe that this damage was done cause it wasn´t wrapped good. or its really broken down to pieces and bits and also with tiny parts molded to other parts. i truly don´t know what happened to it while on the way. its only a real real pity

Wow, that's not damaged, that is totally destroyed!  :o  :o

It looks to me like someone jumped on it repeatedly till it was completely broken, or if it was accidental, something heavy like a container or so fell on it.

Seems more like it got sucked through the airplane's engine! 8}

I don't think (jet)engine ingestion was the case here, there would most probably have been nothing to recover.

Resistance is futile, you will be boarded!
