It's from set 4547 King's Son. I even think the 4616 uses the same torso, but the necklace is covered there? (not sure)

No, the 4616's fleur de lys print is a little bit lower on the torso and there's no necklace.  :)

Those are great buys

Thanks glad you like them  :)

Very nice additions, well done!

George. :)

Thank you  :)

I like the dragon shield very much, and that necklace on the Special knight is new to me too. Looks cool  :)

Is there a stall holder at the market who sells Playmobil regularly? That is pretty neat!

Yes there is it's in the middle of town and what's sold varies day to day so I normally only head down if I've got an appointment and can get my bus fares refunded or I've got a reason to go into town. There used to be a good stall which sold Action Man figures as well (double temptation  ;D ;)) and the Playmobil stall used to have a better selection, a good choice of figures in bags normally for between £1 - £3 say and lots of the same figures in little compartments for about 50p, there's still a good chocie but, not as good as before I normally end up going down with specific parts in mind to search for and inevitably leaving with stuff I don't need but,w which took my fancy ah well such is life  ;D ;)

Interesting thanks Playmoto for the link and Erik for the info I thought he looked like nobility or at least a high ranking fella he looks much better kitted out and with a good choice of hair good to know I guessed right on the belt, the shield is a lovely design  :knight:

Hey I got some more figures from Toysrus a few weeks ago and have had them waiiting for a good day to enjoy opening them, I also got a couple of new buys from the market

The non Playmobil character is a mini Action Man couldn't resist for 20p looks like he's a Mcdonalds giveaway. Cyborg thing was the only Playmobil I saw this time around he was 50p he's interesting unusual that he's got claws for hands, and looking on PlaymoDB confirms my suspicions when I saw he had grooves on his feet thta he was one of the Robots with rollerskates:

http://collectobil.com/catalogue/items/4604.html

First of my new buys from Toysrus is the Lifeguard I figured I could do with some more people in beachwear. I've got to say I've got mixed opinions of all of these sets first off the good though, I like the figure I think he looks good like the bare chested look and the ruffled hair piece looks good, the tan I could go either way with, the negatives personally I think for what you're getting he's not as good value as the other Mystery figures I at first I couldn't think of many additioanl accessories you could give him apart from one of those high chairs for keeping lookout but, actually there's a few little things you could give him just to make him better value: binoculars, 1 or 2 flags perhaps with different colours to show when it's safe to swim, a bouyancy ring perhaps with a bit of rope, lifejacket you know just one or two things to improve the value and platability of the figure. Also the other thing is his swimming aid looks nice but, he can only hold it with one hand sort of limits it's use really since I'd want him to swim with it in both hands under him.

Next the Genie again I like the cushion and the figure, very nice robes sort of makes me think it'd work in a Gypsy sort of theme as well, the Turban's also nice adds a bit more colour variety and the hair almost looks like an extension of the turban when you look at the photos.

Now for the Genie I've got to be honest here I like the sort billowy effect they've got with the Genie coming out of the bottle but, that's about it I think it's a pity the mould is only one sided and when you acutally see the Genie in the flesh then you can see how lacking it is in detail, I also think an Aladdins Genie lamp would have been a nice touch and rather fitting. Still I'm planning to try andmake my figures look vaguely like the characters in the Disney film so the guy they've included looks good for Jafar and I've seen that LEGO's done a nice blue Genie in one of their previous mystery figures so I'll porbably try and get hold of one.

Now for the Policemen I saw them last year while I was still looking for the Mystery Policeman of a similar design and decided to get that set later instead as it looked better value

I like this set quite a bit nice that you've got small changes in the figures to give a slight variety of uniforms and plnety of different weapons, they're certainly well armed with the hand guns provided you don't lose them and the riot shield is good a nice nod to my childhood as it's virtually the same shield my Policeman had as a kid but, with some black paint on the front.

I also like the grey beret and in particular the dog's really nice  the lead and collar work nicely as well. I'm not keen on the black face mask the guy with the long sleeves is wearing though, don't get me wrong I understand that it's the sort of thing Riot Police might use but, it just doesn't look quite right on his face , later on I decided to swap it onto one of my other guy's who you'll see in a minute who is dressed in green and black still wouldn't say I'm particularly keen on it but, it looks better. Also the other thing I'm not too happy about is something other people have commented on in the past, on the box the two men with short sleeves are shown with rolled up sleeves in the flesh they've got ordinary tshirt sleeves  >:( I can live with this they still look pretty good but, it's annoying because it's not what you're led to believe that you're getting and to me they do genuinely look better with rolled up sleeves.

Anyway grumbles aside here's some photos of the new guys with the rest of the team all be it without my childhood Policeman leading them  :'(

Got one of those too - found him once at the door of the building where I worked.. :)

:o  I LOVE those masks   (not necessarily for police..  :P )

Send a photo to playmobil, telling them you got the wrong klickys. I've done that with the horses and they sent me the correct ones. They should be above such shortcuts.   >:(

Thanks for the comments glad you like my additions, that's kinda weird that you found a little Action Man outside where you work poor fella being abandoned like that  :( at least he's found a good home now I think he's kinda cute strangelly I don't normally like figures of that sort with little articulation but, he looks good with the little muscles on his arms and his hair cut accurately replicating the real thing. I'm sure the masks must have their uses but, I'm sorry I just don't like it with these figures I know you don't like the curly hair I do quite like it but, perhaps the combination of mask and hair plus the helmet on top doesn't work.

Thanks as well for the advice I was considering contacting Playmobil even if just to ask about the change but, I guess it's worth a try as I say i do think they look better with rolled up sleeves, I think I might take a photo of them in front of the box as extra visual evidence though  ;)

Very nice additions, congrats!!!

George. :)

Thanks  glad you like them :) I passed the market stall with all the nice Playmobil on it on Monday and there was loads of tmepting stuff in fact too much choice for someone on the dole (sometimes too much can be as bad as too little  :() a few nice colourful archers,a crusader and other nice medieval guys, a western soldier  :cowboy: who I am hoping will still be there next time, a little boy with a sled (can always use more kids and sleds are useful), a wokrer with an sssortment of tools and a flask (I reminded myself that my men don't need flasks since they've got a Kelly Kettle but, a little flaks would still be a cool addition to my collection) etc. the list goes on, I know I've got 2 appointments on Monday in August when I can get my bus ticket refunded so I have decided that I'll go back in a few weeks see if anything's been sold to make my choices a bit easier.

By the way Playmobil have said they'll send me some new correct Policemen they just need the part numbers  :yippee: thank you Playmobil one thing I can't fault is their customer service :wow:  although now I'll have more men who need hats and guns nothing new their then half my police guys need pistols and are wearing spare 1990's helmets since there's nothing else

Bought a few more figures from the Market on Monday, I think they must recognise me as being a loyal customer as they knocked 75p of my figures  ;D

I like the little boys outfit originally I thought he had a sled but, it looks like a smaller version of the helicopter stretcher? The archers make quite a good pair although I prefer the guy with the moustache without his helmet, they guy with the yellow torso combined with the purple legs and green hat  :o is a particularly shockingly bright combo which I really like, th Unicorn Knight should be another good addition to my growing Medieval population although I do wish the stall holder would stop supplying them with those swords they're alright for pirates and arabs but, I've only got a handful of pirates and even less arabs to give them to and meanwhile it leaves more of my knights without a sword  >:(

I'm not entirely sure why I bought the Fireman seeing as I've already got a crew of 6 but, I saw him last week as I was taking  a quick peak on my way somewhere else and I couldn't wait to go back for him, he's nice and adds a bit of variety to my Firemen not to mention an extra helmet, I also reckon he could be used as a builder or street cleaner in his high vis clothes. I understand what the scissors are for (cutting people out of cars I think) but, they still look rather big to me still he's found a good use for them ...

Helping to harvest some spinach from the allotment we're working on with BTCV  ;D ;)
