That looks pretty impressive, how will you raise the train before going up the bridge though? or are you going to use tables for that to keep it at the same height?

its a static suspension bridge, no lowering or raising. That is actually the problem as I need to get the train to get up to it and it is 27 inches off the ground.

this was just a test mock up, I need to make it look better with the vertical ropes to be more uniform .

the bridge is actually functional, the ropes are holding up the deck for the train and there is quite some pressure on the whole thing

thanks for the comments, I like it too but I just need to make it look cleaner with the ropes

That bridge looks excellent. I think you will have to use tables though. It will take a lot of ramp distance to get the train that far off the ground.

Maybe you could have part of the diorama on tables, but with a valley in between on the ground? There could be boats there, maybe some gold seekers could be looking for gold at the river, with maybe some trees and wildlife in the valley as well.

Can't wait to see the finished diorama if this is just a part of it.

Remember, Ras, the track has to rise up to the bridge and then back down, and that's a lot of space needed.  Also, if you're using standard Playmobil/LGB track, then you're using R1 curves and these are tight and add to the effort needed to get the loco and rolling stock up the incline.  You may need to think of either a "double header" (two locos pulling) or, maybe better still, using a "banker" (a loco pushing in addition to one pulling).  This will ease the strain on the motor of the leading loco and allow climbing at a reasonable speed with four carriages.
