VICTORIAN PARK

Another diorama from Kirkbean (I'll get around to showing them all eventually!)

I wanted to do another Victorian scene, but not just a street, it had to be on an 8 foot x 4 foot board so space was limited, therefore decided to concentrate more on a small park.  It also provided me with an excuse to get another fence  ;D

First a couple of photos looking along the length of the display





A few photos of what is happening in the nearby street...

An artist is explaining to the local bobby that his easel and painting seem to have gone missing...



A maid pauses in her dusting to watch what is happening along the street...



Along at number two a special delivery is being made...

In the park everyone is having a relaxing time...



The tea room is crowded...



The seats by the pond are all occupied... (just noticed that someone had moved the ducklings and they are all in a straight line  :lol: )
(Thank you Bonnie for the idea for the water  :wave: )



Over at the bandstand most of the chairs are already occupied...



The band are busy playing a selection of tunes...



Just another peaceful afternoon in the park while life goes on as normal in Park Street...

Just wonderful, Elaine!  I would like to go for a stroll there myself.  :lol: I love the band stand and the lake.  What was Bonnie's secret?  Thanks so much for the pictures.

The painted mansions are really well done!  (just the pink one I like somewhat less :P Did Geobra's designteam oblige you to use their beloved pink?  ;D )
Your custom music-kiosk looks splendid. I also see you used the railing of an inside-stairway for the frontdoor-steps on a house, very nice.   :lens:
Did the police find the painter's donkey easel?  :sherlock:

I love all the details in the diorama. The green felt is indeed a great efect!
The general atmosphere is so victorian that makes me wanna be born again 150 years ago!  :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hadn't noticed it until Gaston pointed it out, but that's a brilliant way to show off the hat rack without showing the interiors of the houses! :)9
