One day I'll try to "copy" the Unicorn to have a second large ship. I think after several tries (and wreckening several ships) one should finally succeed in that.  ;D
What we would need to "mass produce" trimasters for ourselves would be 2 extended 3940-moulds: one for the hull and and one for the upper-deck...  The canon-deck (inside), masts and other stuff can more easily be customised.
Anyone good at making moulds?  :eh?:
I fear Geobra won't be prepared to make 2 extended moulds...

you know hadoque,
a few years go i started to build a snipe class sailing boat (a rather small one, less than 5 m long).
i still have to finish it...
attacking playmobil headquarters and force them to build what we want is maybe a better option for me...

Ahoy fellow  sailors!

If you are not a purist, (all Playmobil parts), you can easily build from scratch,
a ship as large as you like.

I have finished (almost) a small Hansa Cog type of ship for my small crew.
I used Playmobil sails, but the rest is mostly built from plywood of various
dimensions.

I have a generic 4 foot hull awaiting inspiration, and a nearly completed Santa Maria hull, also waiting for the courage to rig the thing.

I hope this is not to far off base, as my crews are genuine seafaring Playmobil
klickies.

Those sound very cool Jimbo! I am looking forward to seeing photos of the completed ships. Although I am also curious to see pix of the in-progress projects.

As everyone can see, Michael's Dolphin conversion is quite simple and easy enough for anyone to do in an evening at home (whilst watching your favourite TV programme).

I'm sure that Mr. MacGayver would be delighted to send you his easy step by step instructions for a small fee. All you need are a few tools found around the house, a few Playmobil parts and a quiet evening at home with the family, and you too can have a fine fleet of large Playmobil sailing ships.

Please post your photos here. But, please be original and use something other than a dolphin or a unicorn as your figurehead! ... ;)

rather then stating a new topic i thought i could react to this thread.
Do any of you know how many Gray sailors were originally in the 3055 set.
there are three on the box cover, but only two are mentioned on the part sheet??

there are 3 "gray" sailors - the same ones that are pictured in the box cover.  :)
