Kirkbean Arctic and Viking displays

At last I've finally dismantled all my displays so have a little time to post some more detailed photos from the exhibition.
I'll start off with photos of the Arctic and the Viking dioramas.
I wanted to do a little more than just the eskimos and igloos so decided to contrast these with a more modern arctic research centre...
Every day we hid Wally in one of the displays - when I took these photos he was in the plane - it was lucky that he was wearing his woolly hat.
I didn't have any skis for the plane so stood the wheels on two snowboards! unfortunately when I took this photo it was right at the end of the exhibition and I didn't realise that someone had moved them
and more..
.
Children seemed to love touching the 'snow' and I had to keep moving it back to where it was supposed to be!
I loved the light on these last two photos...
Hope you're not bored with so many photos, I couldn't decide which to post
Here are some from the Vikings and Sea Monsters display... again thank you to Sir Gareth who let me use his ideas from his Knaresborough display.
First of all a photo with a fellow Playmofriend ... it was great to meet him.
It was not until halfway through the first day that I noticed that Will had put a small sea monster on a bed of hay under the fortress... obviously waiting there to grow and take them by surprise
Thats all for today, have to start bringing my Playmo home tomorrow, but will try and post some from another display later tomorrow night.

I love pic number four in the Viking display where only the Viking's legs are showing!
Nice dios, Elaine! Great job!

Wonderful
That sea-creature eating the oar (paddle-thing) is so funny!

great pictures, I like the little details.
Why do the eskimo's have a gas tank with them though?
And one of those vikings looks a bit murderous with his axe and sword in hand, walking behind his unarmed and drinking buddies.

Great! I absolutely love the arctic scene! To bad I can't play with the snow myself.

Superb dioramas and lovely photos!
So much fun stuff to look at in every scene. I love how you made the icy river and other custom landscape elements.
Kirkbean is very lucky to have such a fantastic Playmo exhibition to visit each year.
