Well, to make a first conclusion... there is not as much new as usual for a 2nd half year catalogue, isn't there? The catalogue includes releases for January & February 2013...

Okay, there is a "new" Wild Life theme, but only 4 relatively small sets. Noah's Ark could be counted as set 5, but it mostly is a re-release with a few different animals & accessories and it is a LIMITED edition. So not really a complete new theme as we "got used" to get.

Some small-sized take-along sets, 3 new blister-sets (the "Vampires" and the "Count with Countess" are awesome!), the usual Advent Calenders for Fall 2012, "LIMITED edition"sets for December 2012 (this time construction theme trucks, I think. Remark: don't these  limited editions normally show up for spring of the next year?), and some small sportscars to take along.
Oh, and the Benelux exclusive 5040 (3 Black Petes) which you guys won't get  ;D ... It is the Benelux-catalogue!  ;)

What I do not see, and which are usually included for the start of the next year:
* new supersets or compact-sets (the small take-alongs instead?)
* new specials / specials+
* surprise figures series 4

I just got a batch of stuff and I have been wondering who the heck put together the most ugly pony ever. I figured it must have been put together with left over parts as it is way to ugly for a high paid design team to have created. Now with the new catalog out I found it in one of the new western theme sets. Its hard to see but the eyes are red looking. When you put brown eyes on a black background the red pigment stands out. It looks possessed  :lol:

even my Wife thinks it is so ugly, with its golden yellow main and white/black skin. She asked if these corporate designers have ever seen a real horse while sitting in their glass castles.

Just bought that set and I really liked the pony  ;D

But I figured it out: it's because it looks like a copy of Yakari's horse, the indian hero in a comic book series I read when I was young.

Is that a French comic about American Indians ? If so it figures why it looks like that  :doh: Great find Birdie  :clap:

Now if only Geobra designers were a bit more keen eyed, literally the eye is white w/blue not red, big difference

I think the pony is gorgeous (on screen, don't have him YET), and the first thought we had was also Yakari...

so geobra is taking design ideas from comic books,  ::) great, we will have talking sponge klickies soon. Why not take ideas for the cavewoman theme from the Flintstones and while there at it take ideas for future theme from the Jetsons.

Can someone please show me a white horse w/black spots and yellow maine, in real life.

I'm sure they can't. It's very silly-looking.
