I really like the looks of the fire station, assuming the brick is molded and not painted on.
The Santa Workshop is new and has I think a new piece. There is a little stand to hold the doll upright. I'm not sure if the pen and brush set is entirely new also or just clever use of the test tube holder. It's a nice selection for the price.

The stand for the doll is not new. One came with the school set, as part of the art room to hold up the doll as a model. http://playmodb.org/cgi-bin/showpart.pl?partnum=30-20-1232

I love that Santa figure! He looks just like the one from #3974 but with a new hat.

Chris and I went to take a closer look at these items at TRU this evening. We were happy to see that the US exclusives, including the police helicopter, armored car, and fire station, are all made in Germany. No cheap chinese junk!!! The fire station looks really good. The bricks are definitely a real texture, not painted on. The bad news is that it looks a bit modular. Hard to tell how much, but it seems each wall is its own piece, but two stories high. The good news is, it seems to have all the proper system x holes, so that other pieces could be attached. The slide pole that comes with it appears easy to attach to regular system x pieces, unlike the previous one. It looks like a great set, which we will probably buy soon, and when we do we can properly review it if it hasn't been done yet. Also a few new knight sets there that I think are exclusives.

Also, I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the entire princess castle theme is now available there, as well as the new pony ranch theme, which wasn't due to be released in the US for another year. :yippee: Chris surprised me yesterday with this set: http://www.playmobil.de/on/demandware.store/Sites-DE-Site/de_DE/Product-Show?pid=5226&cgid=Reiterhof

They have the pony ranch? And here I was doing so good at controlling my budget. sigh
It will have to wait until fall. Hopefully they will have some good 20% or more off sales this fall/winter.

Yep! The only things I didn't see were a couple of smaller things like the pony wagon, and the lady doing a handstand on a horse. But they may have them at other TRUs. I was pretty thrilled to see them!!!

I've seen a pencil before nor the fish toy. Are those new too?
